As part of Aldi's Charity initiative, to donate their fresh leftover food to the homeless and charities as their way to give back, New Ethos Nottingham CIC has partnered and will be collecting for our service users.
For us here at NEN this is in light of the government's plans to deduct citizens Universal credit's/benefits from the 6th October 2021 which will have an impact on our service user's income and financial stability as the basic necessities may not be met. We want to be sure that as well as having a roof over their head they have food.
This was all possible for us as Tracey Todd from Hucknall Children's Centre pointed us in Aldi Bulwells direction Reece who manages the food donations at Aldi Bulwell was more than happy to accommodate us and has given us full access to their leftover food.
We have been able to collect products such as meat, fish, bread, fruit and vegetables for our service users, which will be a weekly collection for the foreseeable future.
Thank you to Tracey of Hucknall children's centre and Reece from Aldi Bulwell
