Updated Criteria June 2024
We are thrilled to announce some important updates to our criteria for acceptance into New Ethos Housing. As we continually strive to better serve our community, we have made several adjustments to ensure our program remains inclusive, effective, and supportive for all potential service users.
Expanded Risk Criteria: Low to High Risk
One of the significant changes is the expansion of our risk criteria. We now accept service users who fall within the low to high-risk categories. This broader criterion allows us to support a wider range of individuals in need of housing and assistance. However, it is essential to review the specific elements of our risk assessment criteria, as not all areas have high-risk acceptance.
Substance Misuse: Important Conditions
For those with a history of substance misuse, please note that our criteria remain stringent to ensure the safety and well-being of all our residents. We require that service users with substance misuse issues must be abstinent for at least six weeks before being considered for a move-in to New Ethos Housing. This period of abstinence is crucial in maintaining a stable and supportive environment for everyone.
Collaboration with Probation Approved Premises
We are also excited to share that we have updated our collaborative efforts. New Ethos Housing now works closely with several Probation Approved Premises, including:
Trent House
Raleigh Street
Astral Grove
This collaboration allows us to provide a seamless transition for individuals coming from these premises, ensuring they receive the continued support and stability needed during their reintegration process.
What This Means for You
Our updated criteria aim to make our services more accessible while maintaining the high standards of care and support that New Ethos Housing is known for. We encourage all potential service users and referring agencies to review the detailed criteria on our website or contact our team for more information.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we implement these changes. Together, we can provide a safe and supportive environment for those in need, helping them rebuild their lives and move forward with confidence.
