Since 2020, New Ethos Nottingham has partnered with FareShare and Neighbourly to combat food poverty by redistributing surplus food from local supermarkets and restaurants. This initiative not only provides nutritious meals to residents but also significantly reduces food waste.

Residents benefit from weekly collections of surplus food from retailers such as Tesco, Asda, Sainsburyās, Aldi, Lidl, and restaurants like Nandoās and KFC. These donations include a variety of fresh produce, baked goods, and ready-to-eat meals.
2. Community Meals and Cooking Sessions
The donated food is utilized in communal cooking sessions, fostering a sense of community and teaching valuable cooking skills.
