At New Ethos Nottingham Housing, we believe in the power of self-sufficiency and the opportunity for second chances. In our latest endeavors, we're excited to share how we're making a difference in our community through innovative initiatives and transformative programs.
Recently, we invested in a "Fellows" binding machine, a pivotal step towards self-sufficiency. With this machine, we've been able to design, print, and bind our own binders, tailored to the needs of our service users. This not only streamlines our operations but also ensures that our resources are customized and readily available to those we serve.
But our commitment to empowerment doesn't stop there. We recently visited HMP Nottingham prison, where we had the privilege of collecting five reconditioned bikes.
These bikes, generously donated by the police, are more than just modes of transportation – they represent opportunities for change. Inmates have the chance to participate in a six-week bike maintenance course, setting them on a path towards a brighter future.
Whether they pursue careers in bike maintenance, start their own businesses, or simply gain valuable skills for personal use, these programs offer hope and opportunity.
In addition to our initiatives at the prison, we're also excited to unveil our latest property – a fully refurbished 3-bedroom house with en-suites. This space will soon be available for tenants, providing comfortable and modern accommodations for those in need.
