Empowering Change: New Ethos Nottingham's Journey from 2020 to 2023
New Ethos Nottingham Housing, established in 2020, has embarked on a remarkable journey of growth and transformation. In just a few years, we've expanded our capacity and support services to create a significant impact on the lives of men facing various challenges in their journey toward stability and empowerment.
Our Mission: Empower Chance to Change
From day one, our mission has remained unchanged: to empower chance and create opportunities for change. We're committed to offering a safe and supportive space for men between the ages of 21-50 who are experiencing homelessness, sofa surfing, recently released from prison, or have interacted with the criminal justice system.
Providing the Essentials
At New Ethos Nottingham, we understand that a stable environment is crucial for personal growth. This is why we provide our service users with comfortable, fully furnished rooms. Each room comes with Wi-Fi, a TV, a cozy bed, bedding, a designated desk area, spacious wardrobes and drawers, a towel set, and access to surplus food donations on move-in. Our goal is to offer a sense of security and dignity from the moment they walk through our doors.
Hygiene and Well-being
Hygiene is a basic need, and we're dedicated to ensuring our service users don't experience hygiene poverty. New Ethos Nottingham supplies essential toiletries, sparing them from the distress of going without these everyday necessities.
Community Living
Community is at the heart of what we do. Our service users have access to communal kitchens where they can enjoy shared meals and camaraderie. It's not just a place to stay; it's a space where a sense of belonging and empowerment grows with each passing day.
Growth in Capacity
Since our establishment, we've seen remarkable growth. By the end of this year, we will have added a total of 24 rooms to our housing facilities, a testament to our commitment to reach and support more individuals in need.
